Alcohol: Forgotten Risks

Not as Harmless as it Looks

Although alcohol consumption has become quite normalized in Canada in recent decades, there are still many risks associated with consuming alcohol, especially in excess. These risks not only impact the individual making the decision but also those around them. This site will take you through some of the many risks associated with alcohol as well as resources for those trying to break their bad alcohol related habits.

In Newfoundland and Labrador, almost 50% of spirit sales are rum. Average sales of alcohol in Canada were $755 per person (over the legal drinking age). Y.T. is $1,261, N.W.T. is $1,604, Nvt. is $231, B.B. is $864, Alta. is $768, Sask. is $730, Man. is $754, Ont. is $741, Que. is $782, N.B. is $676, N.L. is $1,056, P.E.I. is $630, and N.S. is $789.
